This is a collection of articles that combine to cover some of the history of the Parish of Netherbury in Dorset. 

We are indebted to several people who have generously allowed us to use their existing work to get the site off the ground and particularly to Beaminster Museum which has been a valuable source of information and support.

The aim of the project is that any residents of Netherbury who are interested in the history of the house they live in, the people who used to live there or their own ancestors can investigate it and then publish it here.

As the results of their research appears here it'll get easier for future researchers.

We already have details of the Parish Registers for Baptisms, Marriages & Burials as well as five Census Returns which can all be searched here in one place. We'll be adding further resources in the future and, as well as Beaminster Museum, there is information to be found at the Dorset History Centre in Dorchester, Bridport Museum and its Local History Centre, Somerset & Dorset Family History Society in Yeovil as well as on-line subscription services such as ancestry.co.uk & findmypast.co.uk

We can also share the knowledge we pick up as more people get involved and being specific to Netherbury that experience should be particularly relevant and useful.
